HOCO court: What’s the buzz?

It’s that time of the year again: The election for Santa Fe’s homecoming (HOCO) king and queen has arrived.

HOCO court is an effective way for students to raise school spirit and encourage unity within Santa Fe.

“I think it’s a good way to get involved with the school and get involved with homecoming in general, especially your senior year,” said sophomore STUCO senator Gabe White.

To be a part of HOCO court, you must be a senior and nominated by your peers. Once you make it to HOCO court, students and faculty can vote from the selected pairs for HOCO king and queen.

The voting link was available on Santa Fe STUCO’s Instagram page, where the official Google form could be found under a link in their bio.

“You can go to the Santa Fe STUCO link tree and there’s a Google form to fill out; there you can vote king and queen,” White said.

At the Beat North assembly on September 28, seniors Zoey Battles and Bergin Kysar were crowned the official HOCO king and queen.
