With the long anticipated arrival of this year’s Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replay, people everywhere are sharing the artists and songs they listened to the most. We asked our staff to share their stats from 2025.
Tristan: This year, my top artists were Clairo, Lucy Dacus, Sublime, boygenius and TV Girl. I listened to 22,074 of Clairo alone, making me her top 687th listener globally. Overall, I listened to 136,705 minutes, 2,453 songs, 47 albums and 997 artists. All five of my top songs were Clairo: Juna, North, Terrapin, Love Songs and Sexy to Someone. This year, I tried to listen to more albums in full, and my top five albums ended up being some of my absolute favorites: Charm by Clairo, the record by boygenius, Bleeds by Wednesday, Forever Is A Feeling by Lucy Dacus and 40oz. To Freedom by Sublime. All in all, I pretty much predicted both my artists and albums but my top songs were a bit of a surprise; I expected to see more than just Clairo. Additionally, I liked the design of this year’s Wrapped significantly more than last year’s and I liked the inclusion of podcasts, genres and albums.
Val: According to my Spotify Wrapped, I listened for 25,052 minutes and to 1,192 songs this year. None of the rankings surprised me, as they included some of my favorite artists, songs and podcasts, but I did notice a shift from pop and alternative R&B genre to Urbano Latino. My top one song was “+57” by Karol G, Feid, DFZM. Ovy on the Drums, J Balvin, Maluma, Ryan Castro and Blessd, one of my favorite songs as it was written by all Colombian singers as a tribute to Colombia, my birth country. My top artist was the Colombian singer Feid, whose music I have been obsessed with this past year after listening to his features in Karol G’s songs. My top album was “Debi Tirar mas fotos” by Bad Bunny, an album that made me cry many times this year, bringing me nostalgia for my family and my home country.
Tristain: My top artists this year were a little surprising to me as they were all very similar in a way. My top artists in order were ENHYPEN, BTS, ATEEZ, j-hope, and SZA. My top song this year was Lemon Drop by ATEEZ, with my top album being DESIRE: UNLEASH by ENHYPEN, which I listened to a total of 607 minutes of. A few of my other top albums included ROMANCE:UNTOLD by ENHYPEN, Right place, Wrong person by RM, GOLDEN Jung Kook, and Ctrl by SZA. Two of my top favorite albums on this list would have to be Right place, Wrong person by RM and Ctrl by SZA; most of the beats are mellow and smooth along with the messages behind the songs. Overall, I think my Wrapped was somewhat expected, although I do feel like I listened to different artists.
Ava: This year’s Wrapped was less than what I expected. I listened to 31,074 minutes of music with my top artist still being Kali Uchis, which was last year. This year, there were a couple new artists on my top five like Rihanna and Selena. My top song Te Mata is one of my favorite songs of all time. I spent 5,526 minutes listening to Kali Uchis making me a top 0.02% global fan. I really enjoy the beats and lyrics in R&B music. I’m very happy with how Wrapped turned out.
Marley: In my Spotify Wrapped, I listened to a total of 28,603 minutes. These minutes consist of many artists, but some of my top artists were Clairo, Laufey, Beabadoobee, and TV Girl. Clairo was my number one artist this year, making me a top 0.1% global fan. My top artists didn’t surprise me, although my songs definitely did. I think the songs I got are some I likely listened to at the beginning of this year, so I wasn’t as excited to see those. Though I could’ve definitely predicted my top albums for 2025, which included “Charm” and “Immunity” by Clairo and “Shelter” by Alice Phoebe Lou. Overall, I am glad this year’s Wrapped improved from last time, and I can’t wait to see what I listen to next year.
Vicki: This year my Apple Music Replay was a little different from last year’s with my new top artist being Mariah the Scientist after three years of Jhene Aiko being my top artist. This year I listened to 92,690 minutes of music, which was 38 percent less than last year. Out of 1,474 artists, my top five artists are Mariah the Scientist, Jhene Aiko at two, Drake, The Weeknd at four, and Morgan Wallen at number five. I was kind of surprised that one of my top songs wasn’t SAVAGE ANTHEM by PARTYNEXTDOOR or Drifting(feat. Chris Brown & Tory Lanez) by G-Eazy. Going two for two, my top genre is R&B and Soul for the second year in a row.
Caiden: My top song this year was “Who are you?” by Saga Faye, followed by “Lonesome Love” by Mitski, “Paul” by Big Thief, “the way things go” by Beabadoobee, and “mu” by SEAPOOL. I was the 31,848th listener of Mitski globally. As expected, Beabadoobee was my second top artist, followed by Laufey, Clairo and Faye Webster. Overall, my top genre was Indie Pop and had 175,944 minutes listened.
Ellery: Unfortunately, the top songs for my Spotify Wrapped felt inaccurate, due to the fact that I only listened to those songs near the beginning of this year. My top artists are HIM, My Chemical Romance, Radiohead, Sleeping With Sirens and Ghost Runner On Third. Unexpectedly, my top albums this year were shockingly accurate, with “Grace” by Jeff Buckley, “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge” by My Chemical Romance, “Razorblade Romance” by HIM, “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love” by My Chemical Romance and “Fallen” by Evanescence. This year’s Wrapped design and formatting was a significant improvement from last year. I loved the option to decide what you thought your top song was before it revealed the result. The total of minutes I listened to was 73,444 minutes and my top genre was screamo.
Sarah: As the year ends, I listened to Spotify for a total of 4,469 minutes and listened to 176 songs. I was very surprised with all the songs that were in my top list other than “I know” by Big Sean and Jhene Aiko. In total, I listen to 120 artists and my top ones include, Jhene Aiko, Brent Faiyaz, The Marias, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Daniel Caesar. I spent 402 minutes listening to Jhene which makes me a 3% global fan. I’m very happy with my list of top artists because I feel I did listen to these the most. Including the 75 genres I listened to this year, Trap, Alternative R&B, Bedroom Pop, Indie and Emo Rap were the top five in order.
