Schools and businesses across the country will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day.

Every year, on the third Monday of January, Americans take time to reflect on the amazing and uplifting life MLK lived. Cities across America celebrate his life with parades, church services and remembrance of his legacy.
