On Thursday, October 20, 2022,  AMF bowling lanes held a Special Olympics Bowling event.

Special Olympics Oklahoma (SOOK) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1969 dedicated to the benefit of citizens with intellectual disabilities. It benefits over 12,100 citizens with the support of over 13,000 volunteer coaches and thousands of sponsors, donors and volunteers conducting more than 175 sports competitions and training clinics every year.

The event was a 3-game tournament in which volunteers would record the score of each game so that all the players could be compared against each other.

October is a very big month for SOOK. They’re hosting bowling events, basketball events and many more sports throughout the month.

Special Olympics Oklahoma is always looking for volunteers and you can help volunteer here. You can also donate directly to them here.
