NASA’s Artemis II mission launched the SLS Rocket successfully on April 1, 5:35 p.m. CDT from Launch Complex 39B at the Kennedy Space Center in FLA. This was the first uncrewed lunar flyby in nearly 50 years by NASA, building on the success of Artemis I in 2022.
The on-board crew was Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Hammock Koch and Jeremy Hansen.
This is a 10-day mission around the moon; they’re expected to flyby on April 6 around 6:00 p.m. CDT, and the splashdown is scheduled for April 10, in the Pacific Ocean.
