As of this school year, Santa Fe welcomes a first-time librarian assistant, Josh Bethany.
Bethany’s duties as a librarian assistant primarily consist of helping around when the librarians are busy.
“Anything the librarians need help with when they’re engaged with things only library teachers can do, I do everything else,” Bethany said. “I interact with students and check books in and out, and help interns with tasks.”
He then goes on to talk about how he had chosen Santa Fe.
“I had a connection to Santa Fe through a previous colleague who knew of the librarians here,” said Bethany. “And they said I would be good because I’m interested in going into teaching.”
One of his favorite books he has read recently is Throne of Glass because of its connection to students; however, his favorite kind of book to read is self-help.
“There is so much information out there from people who have been incredibly successful,” Bethany said.
Santa Fe is lucky to have Bethany, as he makes a difference in our students’ lives.
