The first Farmers Market of the year

Scissortail Park hosted the first Farmers Market of the year on April 2.

The Farmers Market was a highly successful event. Oklahomans come together to support locals with their foods, products, and entertainment. At the event, there were stands set up for the different Farmers and local sellers.

At the Oklahoma City Farmers Market, there is free parking around the perimeter and at a special event parking lot on the Northwest corner of Oklahoma City Boulevard and Thunder Drive across from the Paycom center. These directions are provided by the Scissortail Park Farmers Market webpage. Scissortail Park Farmers Market.

If it is an inconvenience for you to carry around your food at the market there is a valet called the Veggie Valet. This is where you can pull up to a spot and people can bring the items that you have previously picked out and drop them off at the valet. Then, after you have finished shopping you can pull up and pick up your order. For more information please visit the Scissortail Park Farmers Market website.

Some stands have products such as Cody’s Honey Farm or ready-to-eat foods such as David’s Smokin BBQ. There was also a used book stand and an all-organic fruit pop stand called Wondervan Pops. There are other incredible selections waiting for you. The Farmers Market happens every Saturday from 9-1. Check it out and go support your local farmers.
