Last Saturday, October 23, Santa Fe Cross Country traveled to Mustang to compete in regionals.

That morning, around 10:35 the boys started off for their run.

About 20 minutes in, Freshman Maxton Barker, running a 17:56 came in 18th and first overall for the team. Sophomore Jack Sydnes placed 23rd and ran 18:08.

Sadly, Santa Fe Boys trailed behind by 20 points with a total of 184 points. They did not do well enough to qualify for state, placing eighth overall.

Freshman Natalie Duggan, sophomore Aaliyah Joshua and junior Audrey Hill all placed individually for state. Overall, the Lady Wolves placed fifth at regionals with a total of 118 points and placed for state.

Natalie ran a 19:51 and placed second. About a minute later trailing behind Natalie, Aaliyah ran a 20:59 placing ninth and Audrey ran 21:06 coming in at tenth place.

With the cooler weather that morning and the very strong winds both teams tried their best. This Saturday, Edmond Santa Fe is hosting Cross Country State.
