The Santa Fe library hosted the classic Scholastic book fair last week.
The book fair had all the same trinkets students remember from elementary and middle school. All the fun pens, erasers, notebooks and posters.
The fair also included all the classic series from students’ childhoods along with new additions of “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” “Dork Diaries,” “Babysitters Club,” “Pokemon,” “Guinness World Records,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” and more.
“We have everything that everyone will remember from elementary and middle school,” said librarian Mrs. Wansick.
They had just about every genre of book allowing students to find something they like.
The books cost anywhere from $5-$25 and posters were $5. The fair was open between 7:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. until Monday, Nov 11th due to the school being closed on monday.
The library was still fully operational during the bookfair. Students who typically get a lunch pass were still able to.
“We are going to do our best to stay open all the time to let everyone be in here,” said librarian Mrs.Bowlan.
Funds raised by the fair are split between the library and Scholastic. The book fair made a total of $5051.92 and the library made $2525.96 throughout the bookfair.
“I loved the book fair this year. It gave me so much nostalgia from middle school,” said Sierra Karl.
