Santa Fe’s girls varsity volleyball team placed fourth at this year’s annual Heather Harkness tournament.
From Sept. 6-7, teams from across Oklahoma gathered in the Santa Fe high school gym to compete in honor of former Santa Fe defensive player Heather Harkness.
On the first day of the tournament, the Lady Wolves won all three of their matches, defeating Moore, OKC Storm and Norman North. On the second day, they lost to both Edmond Memorial and Deer Creek.
“To me the Heather Harkness tournament is a celebration, playing volleyball in honor of Heather, the game she loved so much,” senior pin hitter Tracy Pfieffer said. “The tournament this year had great competition with all highly ranked teams. The competition made the team as a whole much better.”
Edmond Memorial took first place overall in the tournament.
