Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 to Oct. 15) is a month to celebrate the achievements and success of Hispanic-Americans who have inspired. The recognition began as a Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson, but in 1988 President Ronald Reagan expanded it to a 30-day period. On Aug. 17 of that year it was officially enacted into law.
The theme for Hispanic Heritage Month this year is “Todos Somos, Somos Uno: We Are All, We Are One.”
