Saturday, April 16, freshman Natalie Duggan broke the 3200-meter record in Norman. At the race, Duggan placed second.

She was happy to break the record but is going to keep trying to keep getting the time down over the next three seasons. Junior Audrey Hill held the record before with a time of 11 minutes 34 seconds. Duggan broke that time with a time of 11 minutes and 24 seconds, which is over a ten-second difference.

She gets the inspiration to run and to push herself from the people around her.

“I feel pretty good about breaking the record, I would say I get my inspiration from the people around me such as my family, friends and coaches,” Duggan said.
