An emotional goodbye to Lea McBride
May 14, 2021
“Professional and ethical.” These words describe Lea McBride, the school psychologist at Santa Fe, who is retiring at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. Through her professionalism and kindness, Mcbride has helped many students and faculty members understand or come to terms with various situations.
Teacher Stephanie Bray said, “ 2016 was one of the most difficult years of my life. From the deaths of two students to my divorce, I found comfort in talking with Lea McBride. She encouraged me to keep going and continue to be the best teacher I can be.”
Her coworker and close friend, Erin Bickle said, “I have worked with her for the past 21 years. She has been my sounding board, my mentor and my friend.”
McBride has touched the hearts of many people as well as her co-workers. She has been a dedicated member of the Santa Fe family and a champion for those that need her most.
“She works from the perspective ‘what is best practice and best for students’”. Erin Bickle said.
This perspective and experience will surely be passed along to the counseling staff to continue caring for the wolf family. Enjoy your retirement Mrs. McBride! You deserve it! Arrivederci!
