To kick off a week of fundraising, students gathered in Santa Fe’s large gym for the first 2025 Double Wolf Dare Week (DWDW) assembly.
This year’s recipient, Keaton’s Kindness Foundation, or K-Club, assists pediatric cancer patients at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital. Funds raised this year will go toward updating the Comfort Care Room, a place where families can spend their final moments with their children who won’t be leaving the hospital.
After junior Kayla Eyabi sang the national anthem, Student Council (STUCO) member Ryan Robinson invited K-Club executive director Holly Barrón, who is also Keaton’s mom, to the floor to discuss the non-profit’s cause.

“Thank you so much for having us, we are so excited about this week,” Barrón said. “We will never be able to say thank you enough for this honor.”
After introductions, the gym lights were turned off and the black light portion of the assembly began.
The first official performance came from Santa Fe’s cheer team. Next, a quick scavenger hunt game got the crowd excited for what was to come. During the scavenger hunt, a STUCO member stood in the center of the gym and called out items for the crowd to find. The first fellow STUCO member to bring the requested item back to the central figure earned a point for their grade.
Next, the Pom team performed, followed by the “Stu-Bros” who played their wake-up video. Before the video began, technical difficulties delayed the start, so seniors Addison Kramer and Brody Keen entertained the crowd by singing “Love” by Keyshia Cole. Students in the gym joined in on the fun and waved their phone flashlights as the two sang.
“Singing in front of the crowd was awesome,” Kramer said. “I feel like I did a spectacular job, and the crowd did not disappoint.”
After the karaoke session, color guard, STOMP, and drumline each performed their own black light routines.
“I am most excited to see how engaged the student body will be throughout the week,” STUCO President Sharrin Jones said, “Seeing our community excited about Royalty Snacks, the assemblies, and the events makes me so happy.”
