Then Santa Fe’s gameday routine competed around 5:20. They competed against 8 other schools. Gameday is when teams use signs and flags and do a band chant/dance and a halftime/fight song routine. After everyone competed they had the All-State Team show off their skills with seniors from different schools that made the team. Once they were finished performing, they had a Dance Dad Dance Off.
Finally, around 8:45 awards started with teams having a dance party on the stage and then sitting down in team circles. They had all of the students who had a 3.5+ GPA and the people with a 4.0 GPA stand up from their circles to be recognized. After they announced everyone that won, the teams headed on a long journey home.
Results were released Sunday Dec. 15. Santa Fe’s Mix routine placed 6th in the state for 6a mix and gameday placed 5th in the state.
