After months of anticipation, Student Council (STUCO) has finally announced this school year’s Double Wolf Dare Week (DWDW) recipient, Keaton’s Kindness Club (K-Club). K-Club is named after Keaton Barron, a childhood cancer patient.
Keaton’s battle with leukemia began when he was two years old, and during his treatment he and a friend decided to start a kindness club, with Keaton as president. Keaton unfortunately passed away at 8 years old, but his legacy of kindness, care and compassion lives on.
K-Club raises money to help pay for birthdays, important life milestones and funeral costs for children and families affected by cancer. Next semester, Santa Fe students will join the cause through DWDW.
