With Halloween right around the corner, the top candies need to be ranked. The top 10 best candies(in my opinion) are ranked below.
10 – Sour Punch Straws
An Iconic treat that I look forward to every year. The many flavors and sour kick make trick-or-treating worthwhile. I look forward to them every year because they make my lips pucker. The sourness seems so sweet. This alone is enough for it to be in the top 10.
9 – Candy Corn
A treat that is as synonymous with Halloween as pumpkins and skeletons. Some people absolutely love candy corn, and others despise it. As controversial as it is, it’s a decent treat. It is low on the list but it deserves to be here. It deserves to be in the top 10 purely because of its significance to the holiday.
8 – Sour Patch Kids
We see our sour friends every spooky season. The sweet, gummy, rainbow characters that made childhood memories across America. The sweetness and mild soreness make them so good you could never eat just one. For some, the sharp taste might take away from the magic but it is an underrated candy.
7 – Nerds
The sheer number of colored, deformed, pebbles of joy make my day whenever I get them. Not only does the box design make them easy to eat, but they are also common when going door-to-door. The sweet and crunchy texture makes it one of my favorites, making it eligible for my top 10.
6 – Twix
The crunchy, rich caramel makes me go around the neighborhood hoping for this candy just once. The golden creaminess with every bite makes it so worth the cold nights hunting for it. The candy makes other chocolate candies seem inferior. It is a legendary candy, it would be a crime if it wasn’t on this list.
5 – Snickers
Naming this the best-selling candy bar in the world is deserved. Snickers is a Twix but twice as good with the extra ingredients such as milk chocolate and roasted peanuts. If you haven’t tried to collect all of the SNICKERS letter bites on Halloween, then you haven’t had a childhood. But, in my opinion, there are still better chocolate bars.
4 – Hershey
Whether it’s the kisses or the king-size bars, hershey has supplied some of the best milk chocolate treats since 1894. The classic brown and silver color scheme makes it identifiable from a mile away. The cookies and cream ones are the greatest of all time, no contest.
3 – Kit-Kat
The world-famous chocolate wafer with three layers, two of dark chocolate, and one of milk chocolate. I enjoy these even when we are not in the midst of a spooky season. The wafers that are easy to share with friends are crunchy with every bite, the texture of the layered chocolate makes it top 3.
2 – M&Ms
The colorful, chocolate-filled capsules are the epitome of childhood. Each color even has its own personality in the advertisements, making them feel lifelike. This candy is second in the world for sales. There is not a single neighborhood where you can’t find M&Ms. Overall a top pick for Halloween.
1 – Reeses
The most delicious and most sold candy in the world. When you think of the color orange you think of either pumpkins or Reeses. Filled with caramel, peanut butter and other delicious, sugary substances. Reeses are my favorite candy of all time, I’m convinced they are from another planet.
