Class of 2025 celebrations are already starting to begin. Edmond Santa Fe’s Volleyball team hosted one of the first senior nights of the season on Tuesday Oct. 8.
Santa Fe’s Volleyball seniors Drue Warner, Addie Pfieffer, Anna Rice and Vanessa Fisher, were significant contributors to the season. The combined effort of these seniors led to the record of 6-6 for games this season.
These seniors have left a lasting impression on future generations of players and hope future seniors will continue that impact.
“My advice to future seniors would be to remember that girls look up to you,” Rice said. “They want to be involved with you because you’re like an older sister.”
While Warner has yet to decide on which college to attend, she plans on majoring in nursing; Pfieffer plans on majoring in political science at Oklahoma State University (OSU); Fisher will obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UCO; and lastly Rice will continue her academic and athletic career at TCU, where she plans to major in business and finance.
There was a lot of planning and preparation that went into creating this night for the team. The non-senior players worked on creating individual banners for each of the seniors, making sure they were all unique. The volleyball moms worked hard on decorating the concession area room and getting food and desserts for the senior families and players.
They ended off with a win for the Wolves, 3-0. The large student section was decked out in college gear and brought a lively environment to the game. Head Coach, Drew McCarty, was a big influence on the class of 2025.
“The seniors this year really battled on the court, whether it was starting or coming off the bench, they each executed their roles very well,” McCarty said
