Homecoming week began its festivities with the annual and much anticipated mud volleyball tournament hosted by Student Council (STUCO).
Students from each grade competed for the title of 2024 mud volleyball champions.
Team BNE, consisting of seniors Riley Leding, Eli Stowe, Stephen Joshua, Alex Griffin, Matthew Castro and sophomore Jarmile Robinson claimed the winning title with a 21-18 win.
“I felt great about mud volleyball and it was really fun playing with my friends,”Jarmile Robinson said, “We all jumped into the mud together after the win to celebrate.”
works long hours to organize these events. Putting together the courts for mud volleyball took 8 hours with the help of multiple students and outside organizations.
“It starts with tilling the courts and then the Edmond Fire Department to load gallons of water to make the courts,” STUCO sponsor Mr. Rosko said “We are also working towards the goal of making sure all fall sports are well represented”.
Events like these are what help STUCO include a variety of groups. Find more information about Student Council and their fundraisers here.
